

3 vine-ripe tomatoes, 1/4 inch thick slices
1 lb mozzarella, 1/4 inch thick slices
20 leaves of fresh basil
extra-virgin olive oil for drizzling
salt and pepper to taste

Alternative the slices of tomatoes and mozzarella on a large shallow plate. Add basil leaves on top. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
